Just got this awesome picture from Chris Sessions of a 8ft 8in male Mako caught and released from his boat on the 1/20/15.
It was hooked and landed 50 miles offshore at the Rigs. Using live jack fish on 16/0 hook. With captain Scott Nelson and Ozzie on deck that helped me land the fish. The fight lasted 45 min. One massive jump and then he thrashed on top of the water. Next trip Oz caught a 8′ mako at same spot with me.
