Deon Hunter Black Tip HDX T

Check out this video of Deon Hunter landing a nice Black Tip on the Padre Island National Seashore.

The rod Deon is using is an HDX Tournament butt rigged with the reel in the low position. The HDX Tournament butt 

is normally 14ft. Deon has  us take a foot off the bottom of the butt to make it a total length of 13ft. The version of our HDX is rigged as an Acid Wrapped tip used for paddled out bates. The reel he used is an Avet 50 Wide loaded with Jerry Brown 100lb.
